Beau Rivage Resort and Casino Opens In Mississippi
Blending new amenities with guest favorites, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino will reopen 12 months after Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2006, employing 3,800 Mississippians. The resort will feature the charm and elegance guests have come to love, while offering a fresh new experience that will continue to exceed expectations. "We've been given a rare chance to do it all over again, and we have embarked on an even greater vision," said George Corchis, President of Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. "We've gone beyond just restoring the favorite offerings of Beau Rivage and included the kinds of amenities, technology and services that resorts built years from now will begin to provide. When we reopen August 29, we intend for Beau Rivage to continue its legacy as a strong community leader and the crown jewel of the Mississippi Gulf Coast." The redesigned 32-story Beau Rivage will feature 1,740 newly remodeled rooms, including 95 luxury suites. Spacious guestrooms will boast contemporary decor, pillow-top mattresses, 32-inch flat screen TVs, Spanish and Grecian marble floors in bathrooms, original artwork and stunning views of the Mississippi Gulf or the Back Bay, complemented by all the amenities guests would expect from a AAA Four Diamond resort. Already known for the Gulf's best gaming, Beau Rivage has raised the bar yet higher. The property will feature a luxurious high-limit salon with its own fully stocked lounge; around-the-clock concierge services; and a variety of action-packed games, including 10 blackjack games, a high-limit roulette wheel and more than 100 slot machines. Beyond the salon, guests will find a completely redesigned 85,000-square-foot casino with 93 table games; 2,100 slot machines; and a 16-table, two-tiered poker room.
The Beau Rivage theatre, scheduled to open in December, will play host to today's brightest stars in its 1,550-seat showroom. The theatre will feature a $1 million, state-of-the-art sound and lighting system and will return as one of the best-equipped theaters in the country. From world-renowned recording artists, magicians and comedians, to full-scale, international production shows and Broadway-style revues, the Beau's entertainment offerings will excite audiences of all ages. At opening, Beau Rivage will boast seven restaurants, including Memphis Q Smokehouse & Barbeque, featuring cool blues and hot barbecue; Coast, dishing out pub-style favorites from Coast crab cakes to wood-fired pizzas; The Buffet, offering more than 200 delicious hot-and-cold and made-to-order selections; Terrace Cafe -- the property's 24-hour casual cafe -- offering contemporary and classic American food; Roasted Bean Coffee Bistro, featuring delicious home-roasted coffee, specialty beverages and gourmet treats; Snacks, serving up good food fast, for those on the move; and Scoops Ice Cream, an old-fashioned ice cream parlor doling out homemade sweets. In December, Beau Rivage will unveil three new gourmet restaurants that will take guests on a delectable culinary adventure. Superstar chef Todd English will bring his highly acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant, Olives, to the Mississippi Gulf Coast; BR Prime Steakhouse will present deliciously classic American steakhouse fare with regional influence, complemented by an extensive 4,000-bottle wine cellar; and a contemporary Asian restaurant will dish out authentic sushi, teppanyaki and pan-Asian cuisine created from simple ingredients with an uncompromising insistence on quality and purity. Enhancing its fantastic fare, four bars and lounges at Beau Rivage also will open in August. Located in the center of the casino floor, Breeze Bar -- a new addition to Beau Rivage -- will let guests mix and mingle in style as they enjoy their favorite cocktails and take in the scene around them; surrounded by tropical and exotic plants and flowers, Pool Bar & Cafe will serve up cocktails and poolside dining for lounging guests who can't bear to leave their spot in the sun; ranked as one of Nightclub & Bar Magazine's Top 100 establishments in the country last year for its uniqueness and quality of service, EIGHT75 will deliver a stirring mix of classic cocktails and signature martinis in a contemporary, plush environment; and when the sun goes down, Coast will light up and become the hottest nightclub on the Gulf Coast with the best live entertainment in town. Just a short drive from Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Fallen Oak golf course, designed exclusively for Beau Rivage by legendary course architect Tom Fazio, is scheduled to make its long-awaited debut November 6. Nestled in the woods of Biloxi, Fallen Oak will offer spectacular play through one of the most lush and splendid architectural landscapes in the country and deliver both formidable challenges and continuously enjoyable play. With its fabulous view of the Gulf, Beau Rivage's lushly landscaped tropical pool will be the perfect setting for fun and relaxation whether for a crowd of friends, a business event or a private getaway for two. Private poolside cabanas will include every possible luxury, including impeccable service from a cabana concierge. Additional deck space is ideal for outdoor events and private functions.
